MARYLAND PREMIERE AND FUNDRAISER In the days of MTV and cassette tapes, HAMMERJACKS was the heartbeat and musical identity of Baltimore, MD and one of the most important rock clubs in the world and favorite hangout for artists including Iron Maiden, Warrant, KIX, Cinderella, Extreme, Child's Play and Wrathchild America. HAMMERJACKS: THE ROCKUMENTARY memorializes the iconic original club with musician, staff, and fan interviews. The Maryland premiere of the film will be paired with special pre-show content and a live set from STONE HORSES, a soundtrack contributor and Mid-Atlantic based rock band featuring John Allen and Jason Heiser of Charm City Devils. The short film STONED TO THE BONE will also be included before the feature film. From local filmmaker and photographer Rudy Childs, STONED TO THE BONE is a 14-minute short that focuses on a 1985 weekend field party bacchanal that took place in Montgomery County, Maryland. A cast of colorful characters are recorded using a home video camera and a CBS microphone swiped from the Reagan Inauguration earlier that year. A portion of proceeds will benefit The Ronnie Stanley Foundation. The Ronnie Stanley Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for rescue dogs and individuals in need. The foundation trains and cultivates the therapeutic properties of rescue dogs to be matched with individuals who have faced various life challenges such as illness, emotional trauma, and/or other hardships. These matches are even more meaningful because rescue dogs are placed in their forever homes.
